Due diligence
Company and financial verification
A professional website and a WhatsApp number cost almost nothing. A trade licence, a real office, a clean court record and a payment history do not. We check which of those your counterparty actually has.
- Licence, ownership, litigation, solvency
- Sanctions and PEP screening
- A verdict, not a document dump
What we check
Legal existence
Trade licence number, issuing authority, validity dates, licensed activities, and whether the activity they are selling you is even on the licence.
Ownership and management
Shareholders, managers, authorised signatories — and whether the person signing your contract can actually bind the company.
Litigation and enforcement
Court cases, judgments, enforcement actions and bounced-cheque records where these are accessible.
Financial indicators
Available financial statements, credit and payment behaviour signals, and indications of insolvency or dormancy.
Sanctions and PEP screening
Screening against international sanctions lists, watchlists and politically exposed person databases.
Physical verification
Someone goes to the registered address. An office that does not exist is the most decisive finding in the whole report.
What you get
A short report in plain language with a clear verdict — proceed, proceed with conditions, or do not proceed — and the evidence behind it. Not a hundred pages of screenshots for you to interpret.
Where we recommend conditions, they are practical ones: change the payment terms, use a letter of credit, require a performance guarantee, split the order, or insist on inspection before payment. The point is to make the deal safe, not to kill it.
- Verdict and risk rating on the first page
- Licence and registration status with source references
- Ownership, management and signing authority
- Litigation, enforcement and insolvency findings
- Financial and payment-behaviour indicators where available
- Sanctions, watchlist and adverse media screening
- Physical address verification with photographs
- Specific recommendations on how to structure the transaction
Warning signs we see constantly
Most trade fraud in this region is not sophisticated. It repeats the same handful of patterns, and almost all of them are visible before money moves.
- Payment demanded to a personal account, or to a company name different from the one on the invoice
- A price materially below the market with urgency attached to it
- A trade licence that does not cover the goods being sold, or expired months ago
- A registered address that is a mailbox, a flat, or nothing at all
- Refusal to allow an inspection, or to let anyone visit the warehouse
- Bank details changed by email shortly before payment — almost always interception
- A company incorporated weeks ago selling quantities a new company could not finance
- Documents that do not reference each other consistently
Due diligence FAQ
How long does a check take?
A standard UAE company check takes 1–3 working days. Adding a physical site visit or foreign jurisdictions extends it to about a week.
Can you check companies outside the UAE?
Yes, through partner networks — China, India, Turkey, Europe, the CIS and most African markets, though depth varies with what each registry publishes.
Will the counterparty know I checked them?
Registry and database work is invisible to them. A physical visit or reference calls can be visible, so we agree the approach with you before we start.
Can you check a company after I have already paid?
Yes, and it is worth doing — knowing quickly whether the entity is real, solvent and locatable determines whether recovery is worth pursuing at all.
Do you guarantee the counterparty is safe?
No, and anyone who does is selling you something. We report what is verifiable and what is not, and we state clearly where the gaps are.
