Packing
Export packing and repacking
Goods that arrive damaged were usually packed badly, not carried badly. We repack cargo in the free zone before it travels any further.
- Crating and palletising
- Corrosion protection
- Relabelling for the market
What we do with the cargo
Export packing
Corrugated cases, edge protectors, strapping and stretch wrap built for a long sea voyage.
Timber crating
ISPM 15 cases and crates for machine tools, instruments and fragile equipment.
Palletising
Pallet selection, building pallet units, shrink wrapping and strapping to a fixed footprint.
Corrosion protection
VCI film, desiccants and vacuum packing for metal and electronics inside a sea container.
Relabelling
Destination-market labels, language stickers, barcodes and shipping marks.
Repacking from retail
Retail packaging removed, goods rebuilt into transport packaging, volume cut before despatch.
When repacking pays for itself
Suppliers often pack goods to survive a trip across town: a thin carton, no strapping, no pallet. That survives a local delivery and does not survive a port transfer, twenty days in a container with swinging humidity, and a forklift at the other end.
The second reason is volume. Retail packaging inflates cubic metres, and LCL sea freight is billed by the cubic metre. Repacking often pays for itself on volume alone, before any damage is prevented.
- The cargo spends more than two weeks in a sea container
- There is more than one transfer on the route
- The goods are fragile, heavy or sharp-edged
- The supplier shipped in retail packaging
- The destination market requires labels in its own language
- It is an LCL shipment — you pay by cubic metre, not by piece
Packing FAQ
What does it cost?
It depends on volume and method: palletising is priced per pallet unit, crating per cubic metre of the finished case. Send dimensions and weight and we will quote.
Does the crating clear phytosanitary control?
Yes, we use ISPM 15 treated timber with the stamp. Without it, most countries refuse wooden packaging.
Can you repack goods already sitting in your warehouse?
Yes, it is routine. We receive, open, recount, repack and send on.
Do you photograph the work?
Yes, before and after packing, plus the seal number recorded when the container is loaded.

Not sure the cargo will survive the trip?
Send a photo of how the supplier packed it. We will say whether it holds up and what to redo.
