What the job involves
Route survey
Physical assessment of the whole path — bridges, overpasses, roundabouts, gradients, cable heights — before anything is booked.
Lifting and lashing plans
Engineered lift plans, centre-of-gravity calculations, cribbing and sea-fastening designs approved by a marine warranty surveyor where required.
Permits and escorts
Abnormal load permits, police escorts, night movement approvals and utility coordination across the Emirates and GCC.
Equipment selection
Flat rack, open top, breakbulk, RoRo, modular trailers, SPMTs, floating cranes or full air charter.
Supervision
Our people attend loading, lashing and discharge, with a photo and video record at every stage.
Turnkey relocation
Dismantling, packing, marking, shipping, reassembly and commissioning coordination for complete production lines.
What we need to quote
Project cargo cannot be priced from a commodity description. Before a number means anything we need the physical reality of the piece and both ends of the route.
- Exact dimensions and weight of each piece, and the weight of the heaviest single item
- Centre of gravity and lifting points, with drawings if they exist
- Origin and destination addresses, and whether either has crane access
- Available lifting equipment at both ends, or whether we bring it
- Whether the piece can be dismantled, and to what extent
- Required delivery window and any commissioning deadline
Project cargo FAQ
How long does a project quote take?
One to five working days depending on complexity. A route survey, if the destination needs one, adds time — and skipping it is how projects fail.
Can you charter a vessel or aircraft?
Yes. Part charter, full charter and heavy lift vessel bookings, as well as AN-124 and IL-76 class air charter for outsize pieces.
Do you handle the destination side?
Yes, through our agent network — discharge, inland heavy transport, permits and delivery to the foundation.
Is insurance different for project cargo?
Yes. Values are high, single pieces are often irreplaceable and delay costs can dwarf the cargo value. Cover is arranged specifically, sometimes including delay in start-up.
